Utilizing Halo Infinite's robust Forge mode, I was able to design a fully orginal map starting from 2D top down sketch to fully blocked out map with the Infinite Design Set MP. The goal of this map was to design traditional feeling Halo map that harkins back to the days of Halo 2/3 while maintaining Infinite's movement and ablities. This map is suited for a player size from 4v4-6v6 and is supported for modes such as Team Slayer, CtF and Oddball.
I was inspired to to make a map that gave off the same sense of adrenaline and simply pure fun that maps such has Lockout (H2), Guardian(H3), Condmened(Reach) and Even Splitgate's map Olympus have. What I like about these maps is that they all convene in the middle and offer limited but still engaging elements of verticality with their upper and lower levels.
Taking from the inspirations, I created an initial layout for how I wanted to design the map. I showcase where there are inclines and cover elements as well as where each section of the map connects to eachother.
